Hey... any odo tampering is Illegal

i would think you could just move the numbers back if you have it all apart.
ive heard its illegal, but if you know you are honest about it i dont see a big deal with it. im sure its illegal though because if anyone can do it, than anyone could lie about how many miles are on their truck. like here in PA, if you drive under 3 thousand miles in a year you dont have to get your truck tested for admissions. so you could just roll it back when you didnt want to pay.
so u pretty much have to make a law, no one can do it because their are a lot of unhonest people in our world.

Why dont u just take a pic of old speedo with the actual mileage, install new speedo with whatever miles it has on it,take a pic of it, save the pics and if u sell the truck, show the pics.Save a lot of time and trouble and the best part is u stay legal.Plus in my state, there is a place on the title transfer form where u can indicate that the miles are not as shown and why.BJ

any tampering with any odometer is illegal, ive done it once to a speedo out of a parts truck for shits and giggles, but it wasnt easy, i dont recomend it at all, if you break it then your shit out of luck, how about u wait till your truck gets to those milage then switch it, if u really wanna keep the same k's on it

i would do what bj said. take a pic for records. just keep track of what the mileage was when you swapped them and you will know what your mileage on your truck is...
