I know it might not be related to our truck, and really, I could do this on the 12volt, but I would rather here, cause I was checkin the place out also. haha.

Well, today I just got my HO alternator from Wrangler. 190 amps at idle. Cost me about $420 for the alternator, harness, brackets, and shipping, they provided. Not bad, but my teeth still cringe over how much I spent on an ALTERNATOR! Aye, well, to the point.

I have a grounding kit, could I use the 8ga cables for grounds and power for my alternator? Just use like 3 8ga's for the ground to the neg bat and the same with power? Or wait, I would actually have to use one cable for the power, right? Since it has to be fused... Or is there a way I could buy terminals, in m case 6 so I can get a breaker and connect it to its terminals? Sounds better IMO.

Whattya think?

Oh ya, and the notes wrangler gave me said, I should use 1/0ga for my alt. for -,+.

run no less than 4gauge if you're planning on using anywhere near the capacity of that alt. yes 3-4 8ga. wires would work, but do you really want to run 4 8ga wires into the batt? save yourself the hassle and just go buy 4feet of 1/0 ga wire from your local audio store and be done with it. it'll look cleaner as well that way. the last time i bought that thick of a wire, it cost 3bucks a foot, and that was a rip off imo, but i did only buy 3feet of it.
