Apparently it's putting my speedo cable in a bind...it ended up apperently snapping it Never saw anyone else mention having a prob with it, but apparently with the whole behind the gauge where the cable comes up through is not allowing a "straight" path to the back of the cluster and instead is over enough to the one side to make it hard on the cable and kinking it. So I guess I'm gonna work on hacking out some of that side of the whole so it'll allow me to not have the cable in a bind....plus now I need to get a new cable

On a good note I really like the cluster, tach and clock both work! Speedo did for a short time lol also it's only 1500 something miles on it less than my stocker.

While at the yard today though I really didn't find much else of interest like I thought I might...oh well.

you dont have to cut anything you just have to move it out of the hole and to the right (you looking at it) that will keep it from binding up If I had a reg speedo I would do a write up but bouth my trucks are the ones with the tach

I thought about doing that as well cept there is plastic in the way, but I know a whole saw would make a nice lil whole through there pretty easy.

Speedo comes thru firewall at an angle 45 degees to right as u face firewall.Be sure it isnt kinked.BJ

To late, its already snapped, when you replace it, do what he said ^^^....just move it to the "right side" of the hole (when looking at it) and that'll fix your problem.

aw man!!! you should have let us know u were installing one, i would have let u know that you had to move it out of that hole. i did what madmaz said, just move it to the side of that hole it wont bind at all then.
