I'm trying to do a full sound deadening job inside my ext. 89' B2200. So if anyone would happen to know, say, because you also did a mat job, then I would appreaciate your feedback!

I can't really comprehend how much 100 sq. ft. would cover... All this rattling is really getting me annoyed. I would just like to hear some clean bass, haha.

Strip all interior possible, and jus measure the surface area hex, minus windows of course, the surface of actual sheetmetal that is vibrating and needs to be deadened, ex inside of the door and inner skin etc.
If it's a roll of matt then imagine if it were 4' wide it would have to be 25' long, 4x25=100sq' or 2' wide by 50' long etc, I filled my pillars w foam and did a few other things and I have no nasty vibes, depending on speaker placement and stuff it may be req'd to have layers, some product is better than others too in diff applications, the goal is to provide a dampening effect, like shocks for vibrating sheetmetal.

You don't have to cover every square inch with mat to make a huge difference. If you got the material/money go for it tho.

I plan on taking out all of my interior, from dash, to doors, panels, carpet and headlinder! I just was asking if anyone knew off the top of their head what it would be... just in case someone may actually know, before I go and strip things down...

I want to do it also for protective aspects also. I also just want to know the feeling that I have finished all the matting inside... Actually, for my sheetmetal panels, such as the inside door skin, the cab skins, and headliner, I was thinking of welding strips of sheetmetal to give it more rigidity. Seems cheaper, since I could do it at school.

I was also thinking of the generic aerosol cans auto body shops carry for rubber undercoating, might work? But really, I would get better deals off of ebay.

$120 for 100 sq.ft of sound deadener, if I'm correct, it outweighs the whole dynamat from Car Toys cost! like $60 for one door panel!

OH ya! I have 2 12" MTX 7500's. Panels such as the one under the back window rattle intensly! If I just took it off, it would sound alot better! But I don't want to have a ghetto lookin' truck, haha! My door windows are rattling, as well as the cab windows. But thats cause I have one less screw holding them down like they should be... Hell, even my hood rattles!

It is some crazy bass! I have people brake checking me, from what I believe is because of the bass. I set off car alarms too, I feel bad about that one. LOL!
