Whoeeee!! I finally just picked up the remaining parts I needed to swap my interior from burgundy with a bench seat to grey with buckets.

For the last couple months I've been working on swapping my interior. I got most of the grey stuff from a B2600,and I just met a guy the other day who lives near me and has a bunch of Mazdas and parts, and I got everything else I needed from him this afternoon.

Now,even though I've swapped out from burundy to grey,I'm going to have my seats, door panels and headliner all reupholstered in charcoal suede with red stitching, but for the meantime,it's nice to have a matching complete interior.

I've swapped my dash, got the "all the way up" door panels,a full centre console, carpet, seatbelts, arm rests, window cranks...the only things that give away my interior used to be burgundy are the door locks and my steering wheel, which is going to be replaced with a half wrap billet.

Anyways,I'm stoked that I just got everything, because now I can spend tomorrow putting it in and not having to worry all winter about having to find interior parts, and I can focus on saving up for suspension and body and paint.

OHH!! And today I scored a set of Pathfinder rims for $100!!! Only catch was that I had to give him my Rodeo wheels,so now my Rodeo is running chrome Pathys with 235/75/15 Firestone tires. In the spring,I'll put my Mazda wheels on the Rodeo for storage, get some 205/50/15 tires, mount them on the Pathys and put them on the Mazda. I also scored a set of chrome Mazda centre caps from the guy I got the carpet and seatbelts from today.

If you say my post in Off topic about how good this week has been to me,it ended as good as it started with a parts score like this! Yessssssssssss!

Here's a few pics of the progress.

Well, let's start with my winter beater Rodeo with the Pathfinders on it.

Here it is currently. I'll have the carpet installed tomorrow. It's from an ext cab,so I'll have to cut it up to fit. Ignore the red radio bezel,I just swapped that for a grey one.

One more shot of the interior. Keep in mind, the truck has not been driven on the road since June. "You can't drive it and work on it at the same time."

The grey stuff also needs a good cleaning, but I'll worry about that in the spring when I start to drive the truck again. I'm just trying to piece everything together right now and make sure I've got it all and that it all fits before I start going all out.

lol, thanks. I've got big plans for the interior, but to still keep it functional.

-Reupholster seats/door panels/headliner in charcoal suede w/red stitching
-half wrap billet flame steering wheel
-billet window cranks,pedals,knobs,rearview mirror etc
-MDF sub and speaker enclosure behind the seats upholstered in suede to house the amp between the seats, 6x9s in the top of the box and a pair of 10" Kicker L7 subs
-Thinking of relocating headunit to storage pocket below HVAC controls
- Paint some of the interior trim body colour. All depends how well,or how not well the plastics clean up from the tobacco stains.

I just want it clean and simple, yet stay functional where I can use it every day,but still take it to shows and have people say it's one of the cleanest interior's they've seen. I'm a real stickler for nice interiors, one reason being I work in the automotive seat production industry.

Looks a lot better, do you have the gray seat belts to?

Dood that looks way better - still don't know what the fuk Mazda - or any other manufacturer was thinkin when they had that coulor for an interior. And I have 2 vehicles with it my 89 reg cab - and my 90 4runner.

I didn't have the grey seatbelts or carpet at the time I posted the pics, but I got them last weekend and now my swap is complete.

And 2fine,burgundy is gross. I had two 2nd gen RX7s and they both had burgundy. blech

aight, here's a pic with the carpet in. The carpet is kinda dirty, but it will do until I buy a brand new carpet. I have too much other crap to do on the truck right now to worry about a nice carpet. This one is just better than having none at all.
