which company sells the best dash covers? or which ones should i definately stay away from?

I plan on covering the stock dash with a velour or some type of material like that, if I cant find a nice cover maybe I will just sand and paint it. what do you think?

sand it and paint it. or completely customize it like i am doing. either way is a lot of work but looks so nice when you are done.

I'm not a big fan of dashes that are upholstered. Just looks like the person couldn't think of anything else to do,or hard yards of material left over from the rest of the interior so they wrapped the dash in it. Not only is it a pain in the ass to cut and install all the material to the shape of the dash,it just blends in with the rest of the interior and doesn't create a focal point inside.

I'm sure Mazdamandan will come in here and post pics of his custom made sheetmetal dash which is covered in microfibre suede and it looks incredible.

For me,I think I'm just going to fiberglass and paint mine,or just sand it down and paint it. I like the clean look of a stock dash, whether it's been left stock or modified (ie: paint, fiberglass, extra gauge pods, head unit relocation,tv screens, custom gauges etc) and don't have the resources or time to make a custom one from scratch.
