Very nice idea. I think my current project will be similar with 3 gauges where the former pocket was.

thanks guys for the pix, guessing i will have to mod the cluster and then add radio, i agree i hate it being in front of shifter, well maybe i could build another type box and then add cd changer inside of it....

Hadn't thought about going this far, but it's a nice idea and makes for a cleaner look.

lol u guys are nuts! it'll cost more to send it back and forth then it is to go it yourself,

what i did was cut the panel where the sliders for the heat were and trimmed enough to fit the screen once u got it where i wanted, i trimmed the back of the lip of the t.v so it would sit flat on the panel, it has a little bit of a contour, once it it was in place i flipped it over and hot clued the shit out of it, (sounds ghetto but it works great!) then i trimmed the pocket to fit the sleeve for the radio, put it on and then took ABS plastic and made some filler pieces for the sides, took a little to make them fit right inside (filing), once they fit, i ran over it with 80 grit on the panel and the fillers so the hot glue had somthing to stick too, when it dryed i whipped out the bondo and put it all over the seam of the tv bracket and over the fillers where the pocket was, and filled the inside to give the little abs plastic piece some strength, then sand...lots, apply more bondo if needed and sand again, till u think its smooth i went to a 300grit all over the enitre bezel and used scratch filler primer, loaded it on and lightly sand it smooth, and then painted it satan black

hmm...abs plastic eh....maybe I should start bringing scrap plastic home from work... or maybe a scrapped Grand Prix console or dash. That would be swee.,lol

Were starting to carry an ABS epoxy and filler called, "Maxim". Its used for auto body repair and whatnot, but its the same material. You should be able to get it at any auto body store near you. The instructions are pretty straightforward. Just make sure once you mix the epoxy, to mix QUICKLY! Stuff hardens on you in a blink of an eye.

This should be used for ABS plastic instead of body filler. It will give it better strength.
