i installed my shaved door kit today, autoloc. I hooked everything up and it didn't work. The remote was programed to the unit because the led light flashes when i lock and turns off when i unlock, also theres a clicking sound now when i press the buttons. I think where i went wrong is the relay part because my solenoids work, i know because i gave them power and they worked. My question is on some diagrams it say for the relay, 85 to unit and 86 to power but on others it the other way around. 87 and 30 are the same on all diagrams and all the diagrams have nothing to 87a is that normail?? Which wires do i hook up where on the relay??? Tomorrow ill try to check with a meter if my unit is sending a signal or not.

any help would be appreciated

85 and 86 don't matter at all....they can be either way, they just energize a magnetic coil......

I assume you have 87 hooked up to constant power from the battery, and that 30 is hooked up to the solenoid....and the other solenoid wire grounded.....make sure your power wire is big enough and use a test light to test for power at the solenoid when the unit is triggered....then make sure your ground is good....

You can email me or PM me for any more info.

o i had it wired totally wrong. i went with the diagram that came with the alarm unit which was for power door locks. I had 87 to solenoid, 86 to unit and 85 and 30 to constant power could you tell me where exactlly 85 and 86 go. one to the unit and the other to constant power??? right now i have 2 wires going to constant power.

thanks for the reply

as for 86 and 85 one should go to the alarm unit...and the other either +12v or ground it depends on what signal the alarm puts out when that feature is activated...does tha alarm wire give ground or power....

and the problem with feeding power to 30 instead of 87 is that 87a will alway have power and can cause a possible short.

If you have any more problems....call me 604-613-6441 and I might be able to drop by and take a peak at it for ya....

i got it figured out. on the diagram it shows 2 wires going to battery but both those are going to + and thats how i wired it and today i found out one of those had to go to ground and everything else was hooked up right. Everything works now. Thanks for the help though
