You have to sand the surface before you can do that....and you should really gelcoat it not resin it.

Eitherway, ya still have to sand - alot. And that tray on the righ side does suck.

resin doesnt like to stick to plastic very well either. Unless you scuff it up so its really rough the resin will start to chip off. The gel coat is your best bet if you dont want to do a butt load of sanding. Although the harder you work at it the more you will appreciate it when its done. Dont take any shortcuts. Do it right the first time and you wont have to do it again!

Ok, I know this is an old thread, but, what about using a fiberglassresin jelly. the stuff like bondo?

Used some on my first go around and it ended up peeling. Besides the fact that the stuff is as hard as a rock and sucks to sand. Much better off with a soft material like filler primer and spot putty.
