custom dash question.

i am going to start the fabrication of a fibergalss dash and console for my truck. i want to keep the heat, defrost and fan functions.........soooo re-routing the controls is pretty basic, but i need some sort of vents to be built into the dash.

like some cool billet or?????????????

ive found some

and other ones with marine aplications and such, but nothing that is really that cool.

i was wondering if any of you guys have any ideas???

take a trip thru the wrecker and see if anything grabs your attention.

I think those Billet A/C Vents-Slotted are really CLEAN looking!

I think you have a great idea, and incorporating those vents would be a nice touch!

Maybe two on each end of the dash and two in the middle! Almost the same setup as the stock dash, but in Billet!

And Billet Specialties has really good quality products, I have a couple of thier products!

Just make sure you only use Mothers Billet Polish to clean them up!

i've already done that.......most of the rides at our wreckers are older too, kinda sucks ass

Did you try vintage air??? or dakota digital...I think they both have vents..

i have been to vintage air....

but i didn't know dakota had vents, i'll check them out, thanks.

I don't know if they do or not....and if that does not work I would be more than happy to design some and get them cut for you....

i'll probably be getting ahold of you in the future to cut some.

how about routing your tubing for the a/c and heater and making the vents out of fiberglass. just make them stationary molded into the dash, any design you want. just to let the air exit. i can picture it in my head but it is a little hard for me to describe it.

i know what you mean..... i kinda want to have the vent chrome or painted to match the exterior......depending on the color i got with on my dash.

my brother did similar to what your saying, in his console he made a vent in the side for his xbox 360 to breath a bit.
