how do u make ur own leds?

gravity5 if I send you these LED's can you make me the harness that I'll need? I would just buy another set complete but the molded pan is already in and cut out for these. They could also use a quick coat of clear. Thanks and let me know.

sure...but it isn't hard to do....I can just tell you how to make the harness.

do you like them/recommend them? i kind of like the idea of led's, and wanna put a small amber strip in my front bumper for turnsignals and possibly for tail lights, and 3rd brake lite.

Do I recomend Silverstars...yeah they are good for the money....there are a few things I would do differently, like their buckets are made of mild steel, I will make mine from stainless, and they use the industry standard 5mm round LED's....I am going to design mine with the high power small square LED's and will use only american and canadian made ones.

HAHAHAH......finally figured it out today and I feel like an ass. I brought the lights home with me today and hooked them up to a spare computer that I had. I ran a fuse holder on one of them and stuck resistors in untill I found the right value to run them at about 6.5 Volts. Brake lights run dam bright at the 12.5 volts (thats all the comp puts out). Now they work perfect for what I needed them to do and it took about 40 minutes. Thanks for the help, now all that I need is reverse lights but what can you expect when you get a 1/4 finished truck in a box.

those silverstar led's, are they the ones you can sand and clear or paint over?

I remember seeing you had interest in Immortal's truck, does this mean you got it, or what does this mean?

They come with a lense to epoxy in and smooth...but you can do that with a lot of the lenses.

And its really easy to get a set made if you know anyone at a machine shop....hell I will draw them up in cad for you if you want.

No. A friend of mine took his truck out of a shop after them having it for 5 years. We got a frame with a body on it and about 50 boxes with most of the parts. Me and a friend took on the job and finish it for him in our spare time. So now 14 months later, its almost done. We have 2 weeks left and its out the door.

These pics are older now but you get the idea. Tails work perfect, got them in today and finished up the tail section wiring harness.
