I bought a 86 626 turbo for $200 to use the motor...i thought about using the seat out of it but they were really nasty and the underside springs were really rusted so i decided not to mess with them, plus the controls on the driver seat didn't work

so i went to the junk yard today and i found a pair of 87 626 buckets that were in decent shape and all the controls worked and none of the springs were collapsed so i got them for $40/pair

Brought them home and had them in the truck in about a hour!! They look great and it is a simple swap

The only mods i made were on the passenger side...i had to drill 2 holes to mount my tracks on it

The drivers side was straight track swap...bolted right up

I believe you can get the same style seats in a 1988-90 mx-6 or 626 because we saw a mx-6 2.2l turbo and it had the same seat but i dont know what year it was all i know it had to be 88-92

yup yup that is what I've been saying al lalong - and there is SO much adjustability with these buckets - I love the adjustable lumbar and bolsters. (knob and lever on the drivers seat rt side).

I've been debating about whether I should redo my seats or just replace them. I've had the suede to redo them for well over a year now. From the looks of those, I think I'm leaning more towards replacing them!

They look good, and pretty damn comfy too!

I'm quite happy with my stock buckets. I swapped my bench seat for them, and was probably the best mod I've done to my truck.

I have both - stock buckets in my cab plus and the 626 seats in my reg cab. 626 seats are more comfy / supportive.

nice lookin seats, but what do ya got in there for a stereo?

well nothing really right now because it is in my dad's 97 honda accord because that is what i am driving since he stole my motor...lol

well the deal was he bought a 86 626 turbo and i was goin to use that motor for my truck if i gave him my motor but i am not goin to use that motor anymore because the only pistons i can find are $430 and i just bought a 2000 s10 with a 4.3 and that is what is goin in mine now

but what i got for a system is one audiofonics 1500 watt 10" in a virtual technologies box i made with a 1500 watt audiofonics amp...power bass 6.5 components in the doors with tweets in the dash, power pass 6x9's in the back side panels, performance tecknique 500x4 for mids and highs. And a audiofonics 1.5 farad capacitor. Headunit is a jvc and don't know the model number right now

My very first dawg had seats out of a 91 plymouth lazer. They too were comfy as hell and sat real low.
