did you try calling vipers tech line? where did you buy it, they should be able to help you trouble shoot it as well, i dont think i have ever seen a viper in all my years of car audio, that didnt come already programed out of the box

Viper Tech lines a Joke, I told them i installed it, which im well beyond qualified to install it, and they got all pissy, and said "well its only suppose to be installed by an autherized dealer" blah blah blah, It wasnt brand new though, it was in great working order...it was pulled out of a Friends car, and it sat for a year, now i did pull out the Starter kill relay, cause i didnt want that feature.

the alarm should only go off for a short time, then it should stop. to keep the alarm powered but kill the siren, just unground the siren. if it doesnt stop it totally it will at least quite it. i dont know about the newer vipers but with the old one you could put it into valet mode one of two ways

1) with drivers door open hit button 1 then button 2 then button 1 in that order and it should go into valet mode

2) with the drivers door open, put the key in the ignition, ( without starting the car ) turn the key to " on " " off " " on " and it should go into valet
so basically you are going to the acc postition, back to the off position and once more to the acc position

hope these make sense and help you out
