I have a 1987 mazda b extended cab a friend has a kicker square 15 inch sub with a matching amp the only way i can make the box fit the proper box is to cut a hole in my rear wall and continue the cabinet into the bed now the milenium question is it feasiable to do such a thing or should i go with my origional idea which is 2 12 w7 jl ausio subs and 2 10 inch crappy subs with the w7 on a seperate remote i can turn on and off . I am tring to achive the BASS thingy in jersey and have a clean sound. I have also purchased a pioneer avic n3 in dash head unit and memphis 5 1/4 componet speakers 4 in total with a amp to power them at 125 watts each.
The other thing is i dont know how good i will be driving upright because when i lean back a liitle i cruise when i sit up i am acting dumb and driving fast any one want to help me with either of these ideas

dont see why you would need to cut out your cab building a box is not hard, just make all kinds of plans on different demensions, you can cover up your back window if you want to which is what i would do before i cut out the cab. i personally am putting 3- 15"s in my truck and im not cutting out a damn thing! and i will be able to see outta my back window too, just gotta be creative

Dude I had a cerwin vega stroker 18 dual voice coil sub in my truck and still had room to move my seat back. If you can put up all specs of the sub and how much qubic feet of air the box needs and if you want it ported or sealed. I can probably mock one up here and then get you the diagrams and complete how to to build the box your self and have it sit sweet in your truck with not cutting everything up.

Holy snot rockets, I never heard of someone making a box THAT big for a solo 15. Even if it is the Solo X subs, 1 single 15 will fit in the cab. I had a box for my 2 CVR 15s, sealed, 2.2 cu. ft. per chamber, and it was WELL below the back glass. I could have fit 2 of them below the glass.

My next SPL setup will be some stroker PROs. DAMN THOSE BEASTS ARE NICE.

(I saw a pair of 12s bang a 161.3 and the owner was pissed, he said "the other box was way better" and his friend "yeah, it put out 164.9 easy, what did we do wrong?")

I agree, you shouldn't need to cut out your cab for one Kicker 15 unless you're strickly building an SPL truck or what some folks refer to as a "one note wonder". Back when I was competing in SPL, I had a Treo 18" sub in a 7 cu ft box in a Civic hatchback. But it was tuned around 55 hz and wouldn't play much lower than 55hz without tearing up something....oh the memories...

anyway, I currently have two 15" Rockford Fosgate HX2 subs in my truck in a box with a fiberglass front without having to cover the back window and I'm still able to sit comfortably.
