this is the second cable i have installed and its broken in less than a mile of driving..... is there something i'm doing wrong??? or maybe something getting stuck in the transmission??? please help these cables are not eazy to come by......

Have you done the nontach to tach conversion using stock mazda parts If so did you move the cable out of the little center hole to the left. If not then there is your problem. If you have not done the tach swap then I don't know what to tell yea

no i have not done that swap.... cause the truck came with the tach.....

this was a used cable i got with the housing, the first one broke like 5" from the speedometer, the second one i havent taken off yet......

should i just buy a new cable? or is it something in the transmission that is getting stuck?.....

On the tranny side there is a smallish green drive gear that causes the speedo to turn.Be sure that gear moves freely and put a dab of white lithium grease on the teeth when u put cable in.Be sure gear seats properly.BJ
