Ok, I know that this is the interior section, but I will also post this in the exterior. I done a search on here and couldn't find it. I had talked to someone about shaving the handles and leaving the lock. When you unlocked the door the door would pop open. If anyone has info on this please let me know what to do!! Thanx a bunch guys, and gals!!

its pretty simple concept, i might do it to mine as well, basically you can do it two ways, you have poppers which are on a contact lead that when your key turns it rotates a tab which makes contact and sneds power to the poppers, or the non electric way (way i would do it) is have bear claw latches and have the key cylinder hooked to the latch bar and when you trun the key its as if your pulling the handle and vuala it opens

ya you can take the piece that was for the handle modify it a little and put it to the key lock and use it that way. I have done it on alot of my trucks way back when I could not afford a good door popper kit.

i want to shave as well but will drive daily and dont want to be stranded or something because of solenoids or something. the lock think may be an option though.

i went the cheap route when i shaved my mazda. i used garage cable as pulley to pull open the door. tied it to the hinge ran it in between the fender and vuala open door. maztang has even done this.
