Finally got all the junk out of the interior. On the passenger side, there are two plugs that I swear should be plugged into a computer or something, but they are just dangling. I have a pic, if I can find it.

Two multi pin connectors, lots of wire, just dangling. Ideas?

i have a few of those, theyre for my computer. lol. you wouldnt happen to have a weber would you?

if not i bet itd be something that came in our trucks but your model wasnt equipped..say power windows or ac or something

or maybe im just way off

Probably for the computer like Pepehn said. How big are the connectors?

'Bout that big. I was thinking computer, but how would anything work without it?

Dammit this truck is missing all kinds of stuff.....

computer. that mount holds it in. dont worry about it, you dont need it...its prehistoric. i think it might have actually got lost somewhere in the iceage. lol.

it works without a computer because our trucks are carburated. this is just there to try and make our trucks more emissions frendly. over time stuff fails and stops working.

you should get a weber man, theyre like 200 bucks and you can totally ditch ALL of your emissions. 2 thumbs up from me.

So the truck comes with a computer, that does nothing but emissions crap? Wow. Somehow I thought it was more involved. So, to re-cap, if I got a weber, I can skip the replacement of that computer and the under hood missing crap (pictured in my wanted ad) and the inevitable rebuild of this gummy old stock carb? And I get a nice chrome breather? Hell, that don't sound too bad. Where do you get them for $200? I saw them on eBay, but they were twice that price, and not in the realm of do-ability for me.

Please feel free to discuss said carb swap at length.

the nikki carbs that are stock in our trucks are computer controlled. yes the computer does emissions but it also controls the carb to an extent. not completely but to an extent. if you run with no computer or vacuum lines to the nikki carb you arent going to run very efficient and run rich as hell. you can get the complete swap for like 299.99. i've done it and love it. you can also come out a little cheaper doing the holley swap it just isnt as straight forward as the weber. hope this helps

Sounds like the Weber swap is the way to go. I like straightforward, as opposed to a confusing conglomeration of carb connections.

Do you have a pic of your engine bay after swap?
