Im not really picky on how the fabric is going to feel, i was thining vinyl but theres so many types and i dont know how long its going to last or what, plus i want to have a design in the door panels and headliners so i think i need something stretchier

it all depends on what type of look you are goin for. i really like tweed, its cheap and easy to work with. i just got finished wrapping my doors and most of the interior in a black tweed. not sure how headliners are done.

Where did you get your tweed at? I've been looking at jo annm fabrics and i dont think they had tweed

autotrim.com if i remember right its about $10 a yard. they have a lot of other stuff too. since you were wanting to do designs on the doors, tweed is really stretchable for doing that.

also to let you know, stuff you get at fabric stores like joanns wont be as durable as real automotive grade materials. i know from experience because joanns is where i started getting stuff from and its all worn out and faded now.

Just an FYI - if you do go with vinyl, get the marine grade vinyl. it is designed to be out in the weather and is very fade resistant. Places like Joann and Hancock usually stock a limited supply of these vinyls.
