Ok, I took out all the interior parts. Dash panels and all the whatnots... Now my dash and interior was red and i am going with a black and gray interior. I want to sand and paint the dash and panels. My buddy said to just and it down smooth and prime and paint.. Has anyone got and advice before I start sanding.. I hope it will not take to long because my wife said the parts can not stay in her dining room.. Maybe ill move them to the bedroom..

Any Pics would be great.
also ive read the post about fiberglass but i think that is just a little to

Not a professional here but I am using a combination of high build sandable primer and a very light coat of body filler to smooth out the panel prior to final primeing and painting.

Im not a pro eather. I did try to sand a small section on the under side of the dash with wet/dry sand paper and it sands down smooth.. Not sure if i should just keep sanding or try the primer and filler. but with a little work the spot on the dash is as slick as a new roll pan.

Im no expert but this is what I would do. Sand it down pretty smooth, spray it with some slick sand and sand it so it gets very smooth , then prime and paint.

Im doing the same exact thing to my truck right now ive been using 100 grit wet/dry sand paper and then smoothing it out with a 220 grit and that seems to get it really nice and smooth. with the painting thing im not sure about that yet im not that far yet. I have different plans for my dash than the rest of the panels but thats my secret
