HOW DO I GET IGNITION OFF COLUMN

i have a new column its a tilt steering one but how do i get the ignition, wiper switch, and lights off the old one to put on my new one with tilt!!!

You have to grind off little slots into the top of the ignition bracket where the lil studs go, Kinda lame I can take pics of mine if youd like so you get the idea, thats the only way cuz you have to unscrew those screws but they have no heads on them!.. lemme know man

oh right on that helped a ton i was just wondering if i had to get some special tool or something lol but its done now thanks alot man
now the only thing from stoping me from comleting my swap tonight is i cant get the steering wheel off my old column :@ i dont have a steering wheel puller

Go rent one, from a local automotive store, here if you give them 50 bucks they will let you use it, and as long as you bring it back unharmed you get either all or the majority of your money back.

My switch thingy slid right off after I took the steering wheel off, no grinding or cutting anything off...

Put a socket on the nut in the middle of the wheel. Tap on it,preferably with a 5lb sledge, getting progressively harder with each swing as a buddy tuggs on the wheel. This has worked for me several times when a wheel puller wasn't available.

that usually works for me too but this ones stubborn
ive already got the old column in my other truck ill stop somewhere on the way home and use a puller
