re: bucket seats

Ok so I have an 86 B2000 standard cab, body dropped 3 inches. I need the boards opinion on bucket seats to put in it. The ones that are in there now fit good, but they are ratty as hell. The guy who body dropped it, took the mounting brackets off the seat and they are sitting bare frame on the cab floor. What would you guys recommend to put in it that will actually fit? I am 6 ft weighing in about 220 so I need something that doesn't cramp up the cab like most other body dropped trucks. Later!!!

Maz 626 or MX-6 mid 80s version,Dodge Neon,the standard Maz buckets with a little extra thigh padding are ok,and some of the leather RX-7 seats are really nice and bolt right up (im running these in my truck).BJ

My buddy has a pain of Honda Prelude buckets in his, I've also seen civic buckets done as well. Maybe check out the 00-up Neon buckets

Can you guys recommend a place to look for them? Either recovered, good used quality, or new? I guess I can hunt pick'n pulls, but they usually sit out in the rain for god knows how long.

I'm 6'4 and I've got honda prelude buckets in mine. The front mounts basically bolted right in, I just had to make the holes a little bit bigger.
And for the back mounts, the seats are bolted to aluminum blocks which are bolted to the original bolt holes.
I bought the seats off ebay and they were in awesome condition.

I have to agree with cyclitis. I'm 6'4 and I have installed seats from a 91 acura integra.

Front holes had to be filed out a bit, I have a piece of 1 inch tube that the back bolts to, which is then bolted into the original holes.

what year prelude seats and rx-7 leather seats would bolt on our truck?
