Sub Size

alright, i am about 1000miles away from my truck right now and i am looking at buying some subs. so i wanna know how much room is behind a stock bench seat, like wat size sub, 10/12" and box i could fit back there. its a 89 regular cab.

also i got a pair of free prelude seats so if by any chance someone knows how much room would be behind them that would also be very helpful.

and the reason i am buying them here without my truck is because i found an awesome deal on a set of 12"s and 10"s so i want to know which ones i should buy.

I'd go wit a set 10's myself bro!

A guy around here has a standard cab with honda seats in it.
He placed a really shallow box behind the seats which stretched from corner to corner and then reverse mounted a 12" sub between the seats. Just an option.

I'm not sure about the minimum depth behind the seats though.

by reverse mount do u mean the front of the sub faces the back of the cab, so its lik almost flat against the cab wall?

Look into Shallow mount subs. Kicker has CVT in 8, 10 or 12. They are 400RMS and sound really good. Just get a shallow box and your set.

That will stick out between the bucket seats.

My sub and box will work just fine for you.

7" depth at the bottom,4" depth at the top. Seat sits 1 click foward from all the way back.

cyclitis I think your talking about my truck,black std cab,on '08 denali's?I've got a box thats basically stretches end to end behind my seats with an inverted MTX 4500 12.Hits pretty hard and looks different.I had 2 dvc Audiobahn 10's behind the seats which was great sounding.I'll see if I have any pics kickin' arouind.
