thanks to airedout89 i used his blueprints to mock up a console for my mazda. it took me a minute to realize his is a cabplus where as i just have a regular cab. one think i will admit is i hate carpentry!!! i even passed wood shop with a 3.5 average but this is drivin me nuts. i got it started and the shapes laid out. just gonna modify his design a lil bit and hopefully it'll work out great.

glad i got lots of extra plywood i'll git some pictures up here in a bit.

so now since i've decided to put the deck up in the dash i have no idea what i'm gonna do with the blank plate thats gonna be infront of my shifter now. gonna need some idears.

oh yeah, anyone got a complete radio harness? jackasses cut the thing out way under the dash

Lookin good. Maybe get some oil pressure & amp gauges to put in the blank area? An EQ?

Also, go to Home Depot and pick up a couple 3" PVC pipe couplers, trim out the stop ring in the middle, epoxy or fiberglass a lexan bottom and you instantly have some awesome deep cup holders. It will hold cans & bottles so they don't wind up on the floor. Thats what I am building for my Son's 72 Nova, the Exploder console had 2 shitty cup holders that every time I stopped it went on the floor...NO MORE

awesome! just need to git a hole saw from the neighbor tomorrow. probly gonna use grey vynil and put some pad on top of the lid. maybe carpet down the sides. ooooooh classy!

i dunno bout the gauges. i'm pretty dumb when it comes to electrical. cant ever figure that stuff out.

dont need a radio harness. 1 ground, 1 constant plus, 1 ignition, and new speaker wires. the factory speaker wires are small and brittle anyways.
I have an ignition fuse block behing the left front speaker grille and a constant hot behing the right front speaker grille so I can run my gauges and head unit and various lights easily off these blocks.
