what are you talking about??....what hump

His lovely lady lumps...

Haha, dude you cant get rid of it IMO, cause you would have to cut out the whole back portion of the cab to flatten it. But hey your deal not mine, lol.

Yea, and its for structural strength..

Well first off plenty of people weld in a completly flat pieces across the back wall, so structural I'm not sure of. There is a stock crossmember that I think might be in the way if you try to flatten it out. I did cut the hump out of the back of mine but i also removed that stock crossmember I was talking about when I back halfed my truck. However I did not cut out the whole back wall just the hump then used some 16 gauge steel in its place. These are not hte best pics but you kinda get the idea.

^^ Completly welded on the inside. Outside not trimmed or seam sealed yet.

^^ Seam sealed on the inside covered with sound deadner. Hope it helps.

yeah man thats exactly what i was talking about is that pretty simple to do?
dragginmazda86 (dave)   +1y
^^ I would say it was fairly simple. It took me in total about an hour. If you do attempt it I recommend you take the bed off to see what kind of clearance you have and to clean up the cuts and seam seal the outside.

For my daughters truck simply cut out the "bump", boxed it in with some angle iron and sheet metal to create a 1" deep box...

then I installed a custom sub box between the seats and behind the factory center counsel.
