Ok , this may sound dumb but im new to B2200.
My spedometer is out so i wanted to check the spedometer cable behind the spedometer.
I took all of the screws out of the spedometer assembly and it comes forward just fine but it seems like theres either a bolt/nut/braket holding on to the back or the wiring harness is too short because something keeps me from pulling the assembly all the way out.
Anyone?

The wiring is probably holding you up along with the speedo cable if its still attached. Theres no other bolts or brackets behind it.

i got a cluster if you need it

sweet. i may take you up on that if its the actual cluster that need replacing.
Been so damn busy at work iven ot have a chance to take it apart much.
Is it common for the speedometer to go out?

the cables arent the greatest, IDK about the clusters

speedo cables are commonly known for breaking. ive never had a problem with mine. they are very simple to replace. It just bolts into the side of the tranny with 2 bolts and runs along the floor,up the fenderwell, through the firewall and clips or slides into the back of the cluster. There are 3 harnesses to unclip from the back of the gauge cluster itself.

Protip: When pulling the gauge cluster out,pop the hood and take the cable out of the plastic clip holding it in place to give you a couple more inches of slack.

I can swap out clusters in no time now since I've done it so many times.

takes like a minute to pop it out ... if ya got small hands like me

Taking it apart is easier than putting it back together. Getting the cable back in place without it falling out is a pain.
