what can I look forward to finding when I pull my carpet out of my truck. My carpet is ruined so I'm planning on pulling it out. What I'm wondering is there going to be insulation glued to the floor? Wires run under it? What? I know this is kinda of a stupid question but I like to know what I'm getting into before I tear into something. If it's gonna be just basically the metal floor then I'll probably go without carpet for awhile. Let me know guys....

There is backing that is glued to the back of the carpet. Then there is a rubber mat that has backing glued to the back of it also. They will come up seperatly. Some of it will probably be stuck to the floor.

like he said plus the rubber padding is stuck under some parts of the truck like the heater core and the clutch and brake assembly that has to be removed, or just cut the padding around them.

thanks for the info guys. Theres a certain look im going for on it and I'd like to go without the carpet. I'll snatch it out and see what it looks like and see if I want to put something back in it or if I want to run it without carpet.

I thought about painting my floors for a while, but when I pulled the carpet it was way to loud inside. Try it ...you'll see!

Pulling the carpet is simple. As most guys say, just cut it around the heater core and then zip tie it back after.
