Hey Cody, notice in those photos that the truck has a bench seat. See how the back of the seat is hollow, unlike the buckets? This gives you more room behind the seat for the sub boxes.

When it comes to putting subs in a std cab Maz,it's easier with a bench seat.

Either way though, std cabs suck for subs. If I build another std cab,I'm not bothering with a fancy stereo again. Had too much of a pain in the ass with mine the first time.

the buckets that were in my truck are gone and have been gone for awhile now..

i have the bench back in it .. plus the way i had em mounted they sit too low and i cant see over the steering wheel

but they are gunna be used in a 58 vw bug

i know of a few set ups that rock out pretty hard... my co-worker has a cheap set-up in his colorado single cab sony 10" with a wal-mart 400watt amp (not sure what name) but it hits pretty hard.... my neighbor has 2 12" rockfords in 2 truck boxes with a 600watt rockford amp in his single cab ranger and they pounds, one of my sisters ex b/f's in high school had 3 mtx 10s in a F-150 single cab with a 1000watt amp and they pounded like crazy... its the set-up and equipment that counts not the area you have to build it in
