GM alternator upgrade

Ive been searching all morning and cant find the GM alternator upgrade info.My truck died on me last night and i might as well upgrade while im replacing parts.Can anybody throw up the info, write up, etc if it exists, or can somebody please help me out.I need the truck to get to work tomorrow.

you can do a gm one wire alternator or you can do the ford cobra alternator... i did a write up on it. its in the tech section. check it out.

thanks guys for the help.I jumped to conclusions last night, and i didnt realize how loose my belt was.I tightened it and its been working great all day.When/if the alternator goes, ill end up using a GM 1 wire.
