im trying to piece my a/c back together after i removed it for my motor build. i have everything, its just figuring whats still good.

so i got a new blower motor, new resistor, thats a start. works great on all levels

so i read somethin on one a/c post i found about the a/c switch's in dash goin bad, does it need to be connected all the way to the compressor for its light to register its working, i tried it w/o it connected and it showed nothing... probably bad then huh?

my condensor looks fine, not many bashed fins, atleast they can be raked. how can i make sure its good?

my dryer is in tact, but those are farely cheap to replace, should i try to find a new switch for it also?

do evaporators ever go bad, i raked my fins on the blower side (weather'd side looks like) but all in all it looks good. what about the valve deal thats mounted to it?

should i just get a seal/grommet set and try it, can this only be tested with everything assembled?

now lastly my compressor, is there any way to test it w/o it being in vehicle, its kinda greasy but has all the tubing, connections, and mounts. i've read the clutches go out on em' but other than that what else should i look at

i'd be stoked if this all worked, plus just a rare option to have.

thanks braddahs

As far as I know, condensers and evaporators don't go bad. . . I would get a new dryer, they can go bad if they are left open. . . And the compressor should be fine if it was workin when you took it off. . As long as there is still oil inside it. . . I would def spend the money on an a/c o ring set. I'm not sure bout the switch. . .
