Can't figure out the problem...I have no tail light or instrument cluster/dash lights. I've tested the fuse for the tail light and there is power going to the fuse. Can't find the problem between the fuse box and light or dash. Any ideas....Thanks
im having the same issue on my 89. I was told it could be the switch on the headlight control arm on the column. I just havent had the time to hunt down a new switch.
just to drum up an old thread, i had the same problem in my 89 b2200. I pulled my switch off my steering column and tore it completely apart. I cleaned all the old dielectric grease and brushed all my contacts. I then spread a liberal amount of new dielectric grease all over the freshly cleaned contacts and BAM! I had working tail lights and dash lights!
i had this problem. every time i put my truck into reverse it blew the fuse for the cabin lights and tail lights. there are two wires going into the tail shaft of the transmission i unplugged. i don't have reverse lights, but the fuse doesn't blow anymore.
. . . or was that the fix for the turn signal . . . ?
i dont know how your situation is but when i ordered my clear corner lenses i got a new housings as well. for the longest time i would blow the fuse for the tails and other. i switched the housing (harness) back to the stock and havent had a prob since. gl hope this helps.
