so i have a prob with my head unit, the acc wire only works when the lights are on.. so i guess that the wire has been crossed somewhere anyone how and where to fix this?

also the memory on my head unit wont work when hooked up to the acc (believe it has to do with the wires as mentioned above) but would i need to hook it up to the constant anyway or would the acc be fine for that

any input would help thanks!

get a voltmeter first ,hook up ground ,then take acc to wire that shows hot when key is turned to acc,and then power to constant 12v sounds like wires are messed up

Err you've hooked your power into the dimmer circuit of the trucks wiring, it's designed to dim the stereo at night time so it's not so bright.
Just have a look for another live wire and you'll be fine, try and think of something that's always got power when the keys off and that will have a live wire going to it if you can't find one in the original loom.
