What sub/box should I go with for my b26

The truck is a standard cab with buckets. I really want to to put a box in between the seats, and I would prefer a to go with a 10. I can build the box, but I dont know a whole lot about ported, slotted, or sealed. So pretty much I can build a sealed one, but I dont know the advantages to each. Some people say it will fit some say the 10 won't fit. So let me know. Also it is a Auto if that matters.

I know the topic has been more than overplayed because I have went back 10 pages, I saw some interesting boxes but I am thinkin somethin along the lines of what I have drawn up below. Oh and please excuse my sucky drawing.

if you run a sub in console on tranny hump a ten will fit but would need to invert on angle ,and it will fit coming off rear cab wall ,the tunnel is roughly 9 max up at shifter bezel ,so laying sub flat wouldnt be that easy ,i have some pics if you wanna see hit me up

Yea urs is where I got the idea. Seats outta of an 02 Sebring. I hope you dont have it patented.


I just wasnt sure if the seats were as wide as the stockers, got dimensions you wanna share? What Sub/Amp combo you using. TIA

Seats were actually wider than the stockers. When i installed them I moved them outwards towards the doors for a little extra room.The box was 11" wide. I don't remember the rest of the measurements. I no longer have that truck. But i can figure you something up tommorrow if you want.

Yea man any help will be greatly appreciated. I got to get alot of stuff lined up so I can get it ready to hit the streets when I go home for Spring break in a few weeks.

I also like this box but I only want to do one 10 this would double as an arm rest though its from Maz2lows build

I love installing single 10's in standard cab trucks all day. I prefer to downfire them. That way you have your sub protected from elbows and visibly out of site from freetakers. Also you can get excellent sound quality from a downfiring box. My new mazda is an extended cab, and I will still probably downfire a single 10 in it. I will just extend a console into the rear. When I finally get around to doing my console/box, I will do a write up on it. So my choice is single 10, down firing, sealed box, sub needs to be parallel with the floor it is firing against and approx 1-1 1/2" off the floor. Those are things I shoot for and have great success. I probably do one of these every 3 weeks at work.
