For those of you that don't want to keep the rag top look in there truck here is a couple of pic of what i have been working on, hope you enjoy any questions let me know.

Things you will need
1/8" panel board kind of stuff you would use on the door panels
tape measure
Skill saw
Jig saw

Ok first measure out a rough dimension.

The front of the cab is kinda oblong squared so when you round the edges you will take off 3" to 4" for the final fit.

for the center section you will need to notch out the sides so you can mount the panel flush with the cab

then attach to the center beam with 4 screws and your done!

Ok this is what i started with

And then after some cutting and sanding this is what i looks like when im done!

I like the idea, been thinking along the same lines when I get that far

if you wanted to, just use fiber glass. the top the screws are strong enough to hold both

has anybody tried this in a single cab?

well it wouldnt be that easy to make flawless.it would be much easier going to junk yard cutting off roof and doing it that way ,its not fun resining upside down ,resin dont taste good trust me ,you would need it pretty thick to absorb echoing and sound reflection,it and hardest part woulb be hiding bolts ,now if you have a truck under construction id weld in some braces ,get my mold build a peice on top where the rod lacthes into ,and actually have roof inside inward like tongue and groove,to eliminate that problem then mmake insert in middle to hide bolts and in the back basically same thing gotta think ahead on issues before building ,i was gonna do it but i heard a truck wih full glass headliner and wasnt feeling it ,i love my tunes and it sounded like i was in an elevator ,just my 2 cents

i would have to agree with sosa on this one it would be a flawless application that's for sure and probably be way to much work for a crappy sounding truck
