Hey ya'll. I am all mess up with my tooth hurting and being on pain meds n crap. So i am not thinkin very clearly today. Be great if ya'll can help me out figuring out this problem My truck which is a b2200, has a fried wire that goes for the dash lighting. anyhow i pulled my dash to replace the heater core and to fix this wire. I tracked down the fried wire and followed it where it was suppose to go. ! end comes off the meter fuse on the fusebox, the other end hooked up to a connecter on the left side of the dash. it the wiring u unhook to take the dash out. kinda hard to explain. anyhow i fixed the wire and hooked it up. I do have dash light now!!! But thiss is the weird part i cant figure out. as soon i turn my headlight off with the key still on postion it stay on. I can adjust it on the dimmer to turn it down n off i think. but if i turn the key off it turns off. The book says this wire goes to the meter fuse.. So Why is my light stayin on???? Just kinda stumped. . I like to fix this today b4 i put the dash back in. I might go ahead n make a switch for it instead. But i like to fix this without doing the switch. Sorry this is long.. Again thanks guys for any help. Sorry no Pics for u pics whores.

thats kinda strange. Like it got turned on before it fried....and in memory it stayed that way...almost like you should turn it off...redo the wire and try that. I know it sounds stupid but my Ack had weird things like happen.

It is weird. Well i left it on to make sure the new wire dont get hot or anything like that. I am going to go ahead n make a swtich for it since it does not want to turn off unless the key is in off postion. I did go thru all the wiring to check for broken or burn wires. It seems like someone been behind the dash once already. It is a mess back there. all the wire wraps and electrical tape is missing . I got it mostly cleaned up now and double checking my work.

Hate when finding hacked up wiring. Why cant people just spend the coupla bucks and get a correct harness? I found hacked wiring on my stereo (of course) its all fixed now and will never need to be touched again...but still
