on my mazda b2200 everything works when i got it just all of a sudden the first 2 lower speeds stopped working so i go to the junk yard and get another switch and replace it and it still does the same thing only the 2 high speeds work is this a common problem it has a brand new blower motor i was told there is a blower motor resistor what is that and what does it control i looked all over on my truck for it with no luck i also bought the hayes repair manual and it shows it with the blower motor but i dont see anything there just a vent tube can anyone help me out with this thanks

the problem your having is the risister, its on the heater box under the dash, it has a 4 pin plug on it, its held it with 2 phillips screws, i might be able to access it better if you pull out the glove box, i cant remember anymore

i sounds like a wiring problem. just climb into the passenger seat and take a look at the connector on the motor and where the wires from the switch hook up. some thing might be loose or old and crap.

so i found it and yeah its no good one of the coil thing was broke so i guess thats why the lower speeds dont work anymore thanks for the help

no prob man,
i had the same problem, but i just pull all the heatr shit out lol, now the problem dosent exsist
