I am in process of installing a sliding rag, and will be starting on some interior work after that... I would like to get the interior plastics that are around the Ext. Cab window in black and the some other parts in black...

did mazda make black interiors for these trucks? or am I just gonna have to wrap it?

Black was an option but not in the us. There was a guy that sold nos mazda parts on eBay and had a few black interior parts but I think they were from Japan or something. Your best bet is to prep them and do a good black vinyl or plastic dye.

Not the best pic but its just dyed black with duplicolor vinyl and plastic dye

I wanted to find a red that matched the Mazda red but I couldn't so I just did black. I think it turned out pretty good

Happy New Year (burp) to all. Pre-86's (like Sundowners) had a dark charcoal interior, but it wasnt black. However, black I think was available in the JDM models cause I have a set of black Maz window cranks that werent painted.A restorer can get u some spray dye that u can paint interior pieces and then clear them with some flat clear and they look factory. A tad expensive but it works great and is worth it. I have some but mine is all tan to match my interior.bj

I think black is looks great! I'd love to color mine.
Problem is... it isn't user friendly here in the summer.

Get some SEM vinyl dye its a little better quality than the duplicolor stuff but more expensive too, I've used it before can't tell the difference between painted and stock black. Prep is the key, don't sand the old trim but clean it really really well use some dawn dish soap scrub it down, let it air dry, repeat that about 2 more times at least till you feel its clean. These trucks are 20 years old or more that means lots of dirt/grease/armor all build up you need to get that off first or the paint will chip right off.
