Help wiring '39 Ford taillights

I am trying to wire up the teardrop lights in my truck to run taillights break and turn signals. When i wired them up the break will override the turn signal. So if i am trying to slown to turn the lights are solid no blinking. To fix this I installed another set just for turn signals, but i decided its to busy any sugestions?

they make a wiring box that converts 4 wire to 3 wire so that you can switch from seperate bulbs to common bulb. its made so that you can operate a trailer that has a tailight with a common bulb light. its in any trailer section of a parts store. that may help.
