Hey guys, I have a problem with my A/C. FIrst off it blows really cold so no problems with the mechanics, but there is a problem somewhere and I have already replaced the fan switch and that didnt fix it.

When I push in the A/C button to turn on the compressor and move the fan switch to position 1 the fan does no blow but the compressor engages. Now when I move the fan switch to positions 2, 3 and 4 the compressor kicks off and the fan engages, even though the A/C button is in the on position. I am bumfounded so now I look to the guys who know what they are doing with these mazdas. Thanks for your responses. York 27

"This is a good question, but it is one that is difficult to answer. It could be a bad resistor. It is at least as likely that it's a bad switch. It could also be a bad relay. Then, there is the possibility that it is simply a wire that is grounding out somewhere. The only way that I know of to solve electrical problems like these is get out the test light and start tracking the problem down. I regret that I am unable to be more specific. "
