I have a parasitic draw on my battery. So far I have pulled all fuses under dash and re-installed them one at a time until the draw came back.
When the hazard fuse or stop light fuse is installed, is when I have the battery drain.
I've checked all grounds/ wires/connections in the rear. Traced wiring through the cab and to the junction box. Unplugged all wires that lead to the tails/hazards and still have a draw.
I have the stock wiring diagrams. These don't tell me much info because the truck has been heavily modified and many things have been relocated. This is as far as I have gotten. Just lookin for ideas on where to go.
(side note: When I try to put in the "room" fuse it blows immedietly. Not sure if this has anything do with my problem but throwing all known info).
My plan is to start unplugging connections until the draw goes away and try to narrow the problem but like I said looking for ideas.
Thanks...

It could be that your battry is just bad.vcharge it upm..check voltage then let sit overnight andvsee what happens

Nope. Battery is good. It's brand new Optima and holds a charge no problems unless the fuses for "hazard" and/or "stop light" are in. Definately has a parasite sucking it's juice.

Maybe you have a bad relay or flasher? Id follow the wires from the fuse box to where the flashers and stuff are...that's my only other guess.

Thanks. I haven't checked them yet. I'll get into it more and give them a test.

Can someone do me a huge favor? I know it'll be kind of a pain in the ass, but will greatly appreciated. I need someone to check the amp draw from their battery. In order to check it, disconnect the negatice cable from battery post, using a multi-meter in the amp selection, put one wire on negative ground wire and the other on the post.
I trouble shot every damn wire and connection and found that my head unit was causing a draw of .65 amps at all times, with a different head unit it has .25 amp draw. My brain is twisted right now. I hate electric problems!!! With this being said, does .25 amp draw sound ok for an 86 B2000?

Make sure your alt is not the draw. I seen in past were the alt shorts inside then sits and draws the batt down.

Ok, I'll give it a whirl and see if alt has anything to do with it. I know it's charging well at 14+ volts.

it could also be that the wires are shorting to a ground somewhere along the line that you havnt checked yet. I took a full semester of auto electric and i failed it cuz it was so damn confusing, but im going to take it again and see how i do. But check to make sure that there are no shorts to grounds anywhere in the wiring system. And just like dirtracer said it could be that the alternater could be your problem. who knows. i would need a lil more info.
