I sanded the pillars down first and where the fiberglass was applied i drilled a few holes so it had something to bite to. Then add bondo, sand, add again, sand. helps to have power tools but not needed.

where do you get your fiberglass supplies from? I can get them at parts stores around here but before I cough up $40 for a gallon of resin plus more for the cloth I was wondering if you knew of a place I could look to save some dough.

I like using Evercoat with all my fillers, resins, etc.... Its always done me well

you dont need a gallon. I used the small container. Did the kicks, A pillars and still have 1/4 left. Evercoat is what i used. buy a gallon of it.

I went out and got a gallon of the resin and 2 packages of the cloth. I'm also going to be doing my own sub boxes (for 2 cars) and center console and was considering glass over the MDF. Plus my Ranger headlight swap I'm going to be putting glass on the grille to complete the factory look. That's why I was asking if you knew where to get a great deal on the resin, lol. I'm going to be using a lot of it.

Those look great installed splinter! I think the factory interior gray would look clean, or white to match the exterior.

Hey emjay there is a place off 75 in Acworth that sells resin in 5gallon containers, they have different mixtures. Personally I like working with it better than the bondo brand.

Polyester doubleknit works good and comes in different colors and is acoustically transparent. Any fabric store like Joanns should have it. For resin you should look for a marine supply store, the Boatyard brand is pretty good stuff. Resin does not have a very good shelf life so if you are not making tons of stuff or rebuilding a Corvette, a gallon is a good size to start with. For installation supplies try .

thanks for the tip on the polyester double knit. I'll take a look there and see if I can find any. Is there any other name that they might call it there?
