Just bought an 86' B2200 as is for $1000. Desperately needs interior work. Seats are decent and I can live with them, but I am in search of any info on starting out on customizing my first truck. Im going to take it slowly, Im not in a hurry and money is tight so this is a piece by piece project for me.

Can anyone recommend a way to start? Anyone in British Columbia have experience with this truck or something similar that can throw me some info on finding some nice interior parts for my dash and carpet and such? I wouldnt mind a new odometer panel, maybe in white or something, the stock 86 dash odometer is ugly. I dint mind ripping my entire dash apart. The door panels were done by someone in the past but its shotty and needs to be redone. I would like to replace all of the carpet, if someone can throw me some pointers.

I am in search of some good sites that can deliver to Canada if anyone knows of any. Basically to sum it all up, Ill take ANy info and digest it, and put the knowledge into my truck and keep everyone updated as I go.

thanks for looking.

for the odometer i got my white faced one from ebay, same with cleared out corner and tail lenses, i got blue led gauge bulbs from canadian tire, i painted the dash and panels myself using krylon fusion spray, seats, seat belts (fyi there are different sizes), and carpet i just ripped out of a truck in a junk yard, you can lower the front by tweekin the torsion bars yourself, drop blocks in the back simple enough if youve got tools...

Thanks for the info bud, I appreciate it. My truck has already got air bags in it and sits frame. One of them leakes though and I can see a rear bag is cracking now so I will be seeking replacements or just getting custom springs to suit my wanted drop.

Thanks a lot though buddy I will use thta info and do some research. I am planning on going to RCU in sooke for some parts on saturday, the guy says he has 3 of these trucks I can rip parts off of.
