making the fabric work isnt an issue its attaching the fabric to the 1/4 inch round lip under the stock rubber boot i was thinking about taking piece of sheet metal and making it fit around the lip. then rivet it together where both sides meet and then attaching it some how to the fabric? thats me thinking out loud haha

Have a picture of the factory boot mounted to the ring?

I've done a couple before but I've not meesed with the B's interior yet.

the rubber boot basically just stretches over the ring like a shift boot condom hahaha

If it just set up to stretch around a ring, then you could wrap the fabric tightly all the way around the base ring and sstitch it as close to the rying as possible.you wouldn't even have to do it the entire perimeter, you could just do a 2-3" section on each side, just enough to keep it held nicely in place.
