Radio Housing

I relocated my CD player to the pocket in the dash below the heating controls. I know many owners have done this, but what have some people done with the original housing where the radio was, stock? I was thinking of removing it and just putting a little piece of matching carpet on the floor but the way I have my CB mounted (where the ashtray was) i need the radio housing there....
I guess I just need some ideas thrown at me. Thought about turning it into a pull- out cupholder but it gets in the way of the gearshift.

Thanks to the wealth of replies I finished it today. Wrapped in leather that matches the seats/door panels with a pair of sweet gauges (fuel and pressure). They glow with the rest of the dash lights

Im having this same problem man. ive read on here that the american international dash kits for the older mustangs work but doing some fiberglass work would be cool to mess around. Anybody got part numbers for the lower pocket that will fit perfect?
