Deck turns off when i turn my lights/driving lights on?

When you cut the wire that he ground was attached to did you cap it? Chances are its still bare and grounded against some metal when you turned your lights on. Tape that wire up and replace the blown dude and you should be fine

Do you think you should warn him about the dangers of shorting out his flux capacitor while he's in there rooting around?

I don't this his has one cause its a base model. The le5 came with the flux capacitor option.

is there any diagram or picture you can show me on how or what to do to ground them? i tried something different but still doing the same thing.
