help with head unit

hey im new to all this stuff and to the website but my head unit wont turn on... it will try to turn on then shut off but before that it would turn on then i would go to a station then it would turn off then turn on then it wouldnt remember the station if that makes sence
please help
also im new so pleasse no wierd hi tech language

might be a fuse within the truck... or if its the stock head unit.. it might have just became to old and died.. if its an aftermarket headunit.. you might want to look at the wiring and make sure no connections are loose or make sure no wires touch each other. These are just basic troubleshooting steps. if its an aftermarket also.. make sure your fuse in the fusebox if you have one is strong enough to power it if it is indeed an aftermarket. Just some steps to try..

did any of these suggestions help? if not let me know.. i might be able to look into depth on what could be the issue
