as most of you know, i just picked this truck up about 2 weeks ago. i have only gotten to drive a hand full of times and this is my main reason why. i think something is grounding out. i can only drive her about 1/2 mile and i lose all power, except to the bags. nothing else will work until i jump it off. so i am rewiring everything under the dash and hood. hope to be done by tomorrow. i still need to go to the auto parts store to get some fuse blocks. but this is where i got today.

pulled the dash out and disconnected all the zip ties.

this is how much crap i got rid of today. most of it wasn't even wired into anything. i am hopeing that tomorrow i will be able to get everything finished and take her out for a test drive.

HOLY CRAP!!! What a mess! Gotta love some peoples idea of good wiring. Good luck on that. I'm gonna rewire my datsun when I swap the 13B, gonna get a painless kit though.

haha. so far it hasn't been bad. i have just been chasing wires down and trying to figure out why in the world they are there. so far i have been pretty lucky, everything works except the turn signals and i know why they don't work.

it may not take the whole bottle but i sure will drink it anyways. haha.

all i say is... HAVE FUN!!! i've never had that problem with my trucks, cept for my dads... and my stereo systems in both of my dawgs... my new B26i has all the stereo wires cut short so i gotta unwrap them to figure out what goes where, since they cut the original harnesses off... but, you look like you got it covered.. good luck bro, may the force be with you!

just a question for ya...... would it or would it not be easier to just buy a painless wiring set up and rewire the whole truck? a painless universal kit cost about $300-400 for the fuze block, prelabeled wires, connector etc. all for a truck about that size. just trying to help, cuase i'm anal about how clean the wiring in my truck is going to be.
