I know i already got a project post goin, but not in this forum...

AT PURCHASE
thread post photo

i bought the truck 2 months before i turned 17 for $400, technically only $250 because i traded a mazda parts truck off for a lil cash. The truck looked good and all but the balloon tires, honda stickers, and tall stance just wasn't working for me.

since i've bought the truck i've cranked the torsion bars on front, put the original wheels back on, built a subwoofer box for my backseat, took the back seat out (which is for sale) and i've cleaned up the engine a little bit.

i have bags coming along with an air tank so i'll get pics when that comes.

i've done a lot so far, knowing that i don't have any tools and that i have no place to work on it...

once i get it running which will cost about $550-$600, i'll find a place and bag the front with ball valves at least. anyone want to donate?

i'll keep updates coming as long as this project thread keeps attention.

Your last post contradicts your signature quote.

I Say keep the truck man, nice clean project to start off with. These trucks keep getting harder and harder to find in that condition.

damn its been a while since i've updated...

where to start...

well i flipped the bj's and cranked the torsions, reindexing tomorrow...

on rear i've mono leafed it and put air shocks on along wiht blocks...

i got it in the shop (finally) and come to find out that the reason the truck keeps over heating (3 times within a year) is because the clutch fan is bad...

so i got it out yesterday and drove it home... i felt EVERY bump between the shop and my house...

then when i went to put my stereo in it, my amplifier decided it wanted to stay in protect mode... idk y...

so tomorrow i gotta reindex the torsions and fix my stereo...

well, i was plannin to reindex the torsions... but when i pulled out of the 7/11 driveway...

i ripped the passenger torsion bar out...

drug it 4 miles home, took dads truck to work the next day, and the day after i was off so i pulled the torsions and put the bumpstops back in...

in the back, i put a 3" block in and blew the airshock so i took them off...

also sold my amp for 85...

so here is how i sit and drive daily...

what you think...
