I wish man.. Im too caught up with some debt from my 00 silverado.. here in september ill be getting a 2nd job to pay off that debt, then Ill be able to buy some front bag mounts, and go from there... that will atleast get it on the wheels again..

I did get a notch in the back, but its pointless without the four link (IMO)....

gimme a lil more time

Alright.. I just ordered some front bag mounts to get the thing back on wheels before winter.. I ordered the torsion bar kit from suicide doors.. I have the "L" metal for remounting the upper control arm... (clean that up a lil bit).. after that its power train time!!!

Alright! I know its been a while, I recently broke up with my girlfriend, and its about time I did some work. More money and time for the mazda right...

Well I picked up a transmission for $100: Ford "toploader" 4 speed:

I bought some grade 8 bolts and hooked it up to the motor

Wheeled my cherry picker around in the damn gravel.... what a fricken head ache!!! Atleast I have a 4' X 4' piece of plywood hahaha...

Got it in the truck

Then I came across this neat feature.. not only do the motor mounts "line up (with a 9/16" hole drilled in it)" but the transmission crossmember, and ford trans mount line up, ( I just needed to drill the two holes to 9/16" also)

And here it is bolted in....

Let me know what you think so far...

Still to come in the next couple days: Remove motor tranny, drill holes in motor mounts on frame, "massage" tranny tunnel ( a little bit on the NOW passenger side), cut the front crossmember and replace with a lower x member to clear oil pan..

(Yes i know I still have to redo the drivers* side front bag setup )

how did you get a ford trans to bolt up to a chevy motor?
