I know its not one of my mazdas, but its what I am working on right now, so here it is so far.
I plan on bagging the car, but for right now, I am going to put this new motor in it, and static drop it about 3-4", maybe try and find some wires to roll on, Blazerpimp is going to shoot a nice coat of baby blue on it to match the interior. This way I can still go to shows and show a little, and take be able to bag my truck first without having to drive it.

I picked up a motor on sunday, a 225ci slant six, spent today cleaning. once it gets put on the stand, it will be getting tore down to get new gaskets to insure it wont leak oil. so heres some pics.
These are of how I got the motor, it was greasy, so sprayed some engine degreaser on there.

20 min later, I hosed it off and it was mostly clean, still need to get a few areas, but the wire wheel will take easy care of that.

I was getting kind of tired of working on the motor with no music, so I took a broken cd player from my 4x4 mazda and wired it up to some home speakers, hooked it up to my jumper box and used an antenae from a neon that we used to have and started listening. I call it a redneck radio, its ok I was listening to country.

thier ok, good, strong and dependable. They are pretty torquey becuase of the long stroke, but its still no V8, but they have been known to out drag a lot of small blocks and some big blocks. I think the fastest /6 racer is in the high 8's, a built street car with performance parts can expect a high 12's low 13's, if you get into the head, then you can get into the faster times, but that can cost a lot of money.
If there is room between the tires after it gets bagged, I am going to look for a 440 or 383 to stick between them.
thanks for looking,
Mike

sweet shit man, what size rims are you gonna roll on in the future??

those slant 6's are stout motors, if you do go with a 383 or 440, you'll need to buy some stock in a gas station!!

If a 383 or 440 wotn fit, I am going to stick with the /6 and hop it up a little, not completly sure if I will even change the motor, cuase /6 is pretty different and a lot of people look at me weird when I tell them about my car has a slant six, people associate "Mopar" with the Hemi and 440 way too much. But yeah, I dont mind paying more in gas to drive my car cuase I love driving it sooooo much.

yeah, the 383, or 440 will fit, it will be tight tho.....you ought to get a 426 hemi..... or heck one of the newer hemi's & have a resto-rod....
