Assembly no matter how good you are chips happen even when you tape edges. They tend to happen in the worst place possible spots, on mine it was just below door on lower jamb edge. Had a few dents put in it by people that should not have been around truck with tools. The friend has a nice shop setup, although I do not paint for a living I do paint pretty good. Alot of it comes down to cleaning up location if spraying in garage or home-made tent like yours. Next comes down to spray gun quality, from the looks of photo he's using a Sata for basecoat and Iwata for clear possibly, the gun setup can make the painter. Paint quality helps alot. Basecoat on overalls doesn't matter to much, but the clearcoat makes a huge difference in finish. I tend to used Dupont's Chroma line for everything.

Truck looks great though, excited to see interior complete.
